Holding wonder & creativity in meaningful ways
About me
I am a cis queer woman ordained by the United Church of Christ, and the minister of First Congregational Church of Reading, United Church of Christ in a suburban town just north of Boston, MA. I'm passionate about art and spirituality, community building and restorative practices, LGBTQIA+ justice, sexuality, and education. That's a lot! But those are the spheres I find myself in the most these days.
I'm also trained in Prepare/Enrich, an assessment tool for couples in relationships (whether dating, cohabitating, preparing for marriage, or married for years), and I am passionate about helping couples celebrate the union of their lives together in meaningful ceremonies. Our heteronormative Western culture focuses so much on the luxuries and high-cost industry of wedding receptions, and we don't put a lot of time and energy into the celebration of the union. I've been lucky to assist others of a variety of religious and spiritual traditions and backgrounds in navigating how to do this well. And I'd be thrilled to help you, too!
